Personal Review: long since I finished reading "The Grammar of Love" this work of the first-Rocío Carmona, I decided to take a rest period for the review, I expect to pass a bilateral sense, because like everything in life there are always pros and cons.
The story is very agile, with a simple and casual language that could well use an ordinary teenager ( minidot for "Carmona" ) .
The novel itself is a love song, and as you said Fromm " Without love, humanity can not exist one more day" . Rocío reading passages reminded many times that I took a personal smile, so much so that this Parisian Fromm recovered to adolescence. In addition, we have all had a special teacher who rose and revived ideas that we thought we slept, he implanted seeds that blossomed up creating questions that made us question the positions we currently have in our lives.
The slap on the wrist, is inevitable. The novel has many good points, but there is one very important, which is bitter. This book works "field" to romantic classics of world history, thanks to them, Irene evolves, grows, matures, but for this you need to know by heart every one of the classics that are discussed. Some of those had already read, but others, like Anna Karenina , was one of my gifts to myself this year, but now, whether the whole plot and the worst thing is how it ends. If you have not read the classics ( Murakami, Marquez, Austen ...) recommend you read with circumspection, or expect to have completed all readings to fully enjoy the work of Rocio. Just do not miss it, is delicate as a daisy and tender as a cloud, a beautiful and highly recommended work.
Edition, is a marvel , La Galera is picking up the baton ( by Buddha ) from other publishers that are very serious issues and are an important part of our literature.
On the cover, what I can say? made with the almost forgotten technique grattage by an artist as incredible as Meritxell Ribas (from here, a standing ovation) tiny wonder of home!
