What Write On Retirement Cake

And we are still poor

According to World Bank reports indicate that poverty in Mexico rate fell from 24.2 to 17.6 percent in the last four years largely due to Oportunidades and remittances from abroad who have managed to alleviate the devastating effects of this condition, we must be aware that this is not enough and there is nothing to celebrate when 18 million people live in extreme poverty.

Poverty in Mexico is a social and financial burden that prevents sustainable development, many analysts agree that there are several reasons why the poor can not succeed but the most redeemable are

  1. Because they can not work alone. They have the material means to do so, no land, no water, no tools, no machines.
  2. Because they have no job. No one will provide the means of production mentioned above.

Given this context there are some shuffling strategies in various sectors to abate this problem, including

  • promoting quality jobs, investments and wages,
  • sustained growth of 8% over the next 10 years, phasing
  • informal jobs that predominate today,
  • eradicate harmful
  • popular belief that somehow the poor is something noble, decent and spiritual.

addition to this we must look at the government bureaucracy, excessive paperwork that employers must meet to kick-start a business and monopolies still operating in Mexico that are a major obstacle to economic development.

As hard data Mexico is in place 73 of 155 economies on the scale of ease of doing business, "well below other emerging markets" by example, Thailand is located in the place 20, Chile at 24, South Africa in the 28 and Colombia on 66.

Remember that if a free society can not help the many poor, it can save their few rich.
