Undoubtedly TELETON project in Mexico is a phenomenon which shows that Mexicans are able to do great things when we organize and work together. The Telethon is responsible for raising funds for the rehabilitation and reintegration of children and youth with disabilities, part of the mechanism is to overcome the funds raised in the previous edition for the construction of new facilities and obviously meet the operational costs of the project. Unfortunately the reality of today's Mexico is very complex issues in health that require our attention and we can not ignore, the We Mexicans are getting sick and dying:
- Cancer

Diabetes - heart disease
- Osteoporosis
- AIDS and others.
Shares in scientific research, care and treatment of such diseases are expensive and are usually overwhelmed by the capacity of public institutions as the National Institutes, the IMSS , the popular insurance and let me also mention the ISSSTE . The public finances could collapse for the expensive treatments, and much of the population are economically disadvantaged to meet such conditions in particular.
is for where joint action projects as TELETON should be exploited to expand the benefits, this may be through the expansion of its goals and make a TELETON National Fundraiser for High Impact Ailments , allowing to allocate funds for research, prevention and treatment of these diseases in Mexico. This would not stop the current activities in rehabilitation but to increase its scope and make more timely and effective TELETON, as all Mexicans directly or indirectly are linked to suffer the ravages of these diseases.
